I really didn’t have a catchier title for this post. But the title kinda tells you the whole point of what I am about to write.  So whether or not you read on (I really wish you would.) you will still get the point of this post, just not the why I think this way. If you want to know why I think Glenn Beck is an idiot read on.

Note:  Do not comment on the fact he is a Mormon.  It is not a point that is actually relevant to the reason why I think he’s an idiot. I do not think all Mormons are idiots just Glenn Beck, and the mindless sheep that follow him.

Steven Slater Jet Blue flight attendant/comic relief.

This is a story I never thought I would see in this day and age. In an age of anti-terrorism, and tens of hundreds of millions of dollars spent on airport security.  You may be wondering about this story. It’s about this guy Steven Slater, basically he was working and had a very rude customer. Anyone who has ever worked in retail can relate. But he wasn’t working in retail yesterday. Steven Slater was a flight attendant. Yes, now the story is coming to you. This guy instead of getting fired for shouting at a customer, he was fired because he avoided that situation and escaped with two beers by sliding down the emergency slide.

Schwarzenegger calls for same-sex weddings to resume

 California’s governor and attorney general have asked a US federal judge to allow same-sex couples to wed pending an appeal against his rejection of the state’s same-sex marriage ban.

Backers of the ban had asked for a delay while the appeal was considered.

The judge ruled that the ban, known as Proposition 8, was unconstitutional.

“The public interest is best served by… restoring the right of same-sex couples to marry in California,” wrote a lawyer for Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Doing so is consistent with California’s long history of treating all people and their relationships with equal dignity and respect,” the lawyer wrote in a court filing on Friday.

Attorney General Jerry Brown, who is running for governor, filed a separate motion.

A lawyer for the city of San Francisco, which also joined the legal effort, said those supporting the ban had failed to show they would “suffer irreparable injury – or any injury at all” if gays were allowed to marry right away.

US District Judge Vaughn Walker ruled on Wednesday that California’s marriage ban violated equal protection guarantees of the US Constitution.

The ban was passed in a ballot referendum by a vote of 52% to 48% in 2008.

But the ruling did not immediately take effect because backers of the ban requested a stay of the judgement pending their appeal against it.

In their request for a stay, ban proponents argued that legal chaos would ensue if same-sex couples were allowed to marry but the ban were eventually upheld by a higher court.

Florida Constitution Amendment 4

Referenda Required for Adoption and Amendment of Local Government Comprehensive Land Use Plans (Constitutional Amendment 4)

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF FLORIDA THAT:
Article II, Section 7. Natural resources and scenic beauty of the Florida Constitution is amended to add the, following subsection:

Public participation in local government comprehensive land use planning benefits the conservation and protection of Florida’s natural resources and scenic beauty, and the long-term quality of life of Floridians.

Before anyone has a hissy fit, copyright was in fact breached by those posts. Also others not mentioned.

Those posts have been deleted and removed from the blog, and back-ups reserved to restore the blog, in case of emergency. I also deleted posts and pages with material copyrighted by Bill Keller. Suffice it to say, we will not have any rights to ever reproduce Bill Keller’s materials, as THIS ISN’T A RELIGIOUS BLOG.  Also to protect ADKOB and the spirit of ADKOB, we have to remove the authors of those posts and pages, if they weren’t already. This is a decision, that our legal team has advised us in doing. The authors in question will be given a chance to come back in the period of 30 days. I encourge those ex-authors and contributors to think about what they did, and why it was wrong.

I hate doing things that make this blog seem like a dictatorship, but DCMA complaint is an extremely big deal.  Call me a sell-out all you want, the law is the law.  So I apologize to those contributors/authors that were effected by this event.

Second very important change..This is one I’ve been wanting to implement for a long time. While in America we have the privilege of freedom of press, speech, and religion.  It seems the target audience for this blog is confused. This blog is not for religious grandstanding. This blog’s target audience is not purely for the progressive or the conservative minded. The purpose of this blog is to provide current events stories, without being affiliated with any secular media outlet. Any author found to be affiliated with an international secular media outlet, without informing the Administration Team will be banned. This blog is also supposed to be a celebration of Freedom of speech when it comes to criticism of the government, decisions, or politicians.  A place where people from all sides of the table can debate on current events issues, not just in America but around the globe.

The ultimate goal of this blog, is so people can voice their opinions. This does not mean we have to allow off-topic debates. Bringing religion into a political debate is expected, but turning a political debate into a religious one will no longer be tolerated. Not to say its going to be political all the time. I do encourage any non-religious,  and non-political topics. Also hot button topics that religion has a strong hand in (Abortion for example.) is an issue in our global society. So I expect religion to come up.

However, if any of the Admins (for those who don’t realize who is in ultimate charge on this blog currently. It’s myself and Dorian.) says that’s enough on a certain subject. Or tells you to change the tone of your debate I.E. going back to the topic at hand. You will be warned once.  If you decide to ignore those warnings, we can and will decide to make it so all of your comments are moderated.

We are not trying to be big brother, or censors. But the role of the Admin team is to ensure this blog stays operating. I hope everyone understands.
