Mourners attended a public memorial service for Caylee Anthony but her mother CaseyAnthony, who is charged with her murder, wasn’t among them.

Anthony did not ask to watch the ceremony on television. She issued a statement Monday saying she disapproved of the public service.

Her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, spoke directly to their imprisoned daughter at the memorial.

“Casey, I wish you could be here today,” the grieving grandmother said, her voice breaking. “I wish I could take away your pain and wipe away your tears. Caylee was so much like you. She got your beauty and your compassion. She will always love you.”

Crowds lined up outside the church more than an hour before the 10 a.m. tribute to the 2-year-old, whose remains were found in December in the woods near her home.

An estimated 1,200 entered First Baptist Church of Orlando Tuesday, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The service was open to the public and broadcast live on local television.

I am listening to the Eulogy as I write this..and I sure don’t get Lee repeating her initials.. cma..cma.. very odd. I also would like to comment about Casey not watching it in jail..it figures, I knew she wouldn’t. The family having Baez read from Casey… that she would like to someday go to her grave..I wonder why, as she was already at the first one (burial).

I find it hard to find sympathy for the family.. when they don’t address the ‘death’. I find it hard to believe they are searching for ‘good things’, as her death served absolutley no purpose what-so-ever. There is ‘nothing good about it’. They don’t want the murderer to pay the price.. that means Caylee’s life was worth ‘nothing’ to them?

Caylee is not a flying angel protecting family.. she is a dead little girl who had her life snuffed out by a self centered (and STILL) self centered monster.
“I wish the child had been protected as much as the murderer is”.

  3. Hello everyone…

Well, the memorial was about Casey in my book. I saw it as a way to try to get the public to have empathy and sympathy for Casey.

Should this not have been for Caylee?

Call me quick to judge…I do not see “oh poor Casey.” I see “poor little Caylee,” gone with out a trace for months and when found, she was in a garbage bag. Tossed out like yesterdays trash.

Thank you posting from my blog…

    Southern smiles and world peace,
