Rachel Maddow calls out Bill Keller’s “birther scam”

Posted by princessxxx on September 29, 2009

LOL!  Maddow says “birtherism may have been disproven, it may be becoming a political punchline, even on the American right, but it also apparently is becoming a really good scam for raising money off of GULLIBLE SAD PEOPLE.”

DO YOU HAVE YOUR BUMPER STICKER KAY?

Rachel… could you please tell me how the birther question has been disproven? You convieniently skiped over that part. As does every left wing cable news host. At least she didn’t give a stupid fake laugh. Stupid jokes? that’s another story. She’s so un-original. She’s like a female version of Oberman.

You all are still not getting the concept that is costs money to get things aired. I’m sure Bill desires to get this infomercial out to more than just the “red neck” states that Maddow tried to imply. Again, it costs money to do so. Just like it costs money for Bill to keep his website going. I don’t know why you keep bringing up the point that Bill is asking for money P. He lost his show because of a lack of money… it’s really not a hard concept to understand.

    Again, PROVE IT!

And yes, it does have everything to do with Jesus. Barack Obama is against Christ. His extremely PROMINENT position is promoting and empowering issues that are against God! He has often be “preaching” on Christianity from his presidential pulpit! Much like the way he and other far left liberals are taking advantage of their positions with schools and indoctinating INNOCENT children. Obama doesn’t understand the concept of bounderies. He apparently doesn’t think any restricions apply to him… how very liberal of him.

One would think Obama would care enough to put this birth-certificate issue behind him, and bring the country together. All it would take is some good faith effort on his part, and the next time he is giggling on yet another late night television appearance he can take that opportunity to openly, and honestly share his birth-certificate with the studio and television audiences. Will he cowboy up?

  27. I think though if you cut and paste the html from online gifs you find, that when or if that site goes down or takes the image off their server, that the post might lose the image too.

Also, some sites don’t like people to link directly to their images without permission because it eats their bandwidth. It might be more polite to copy the image and host it elsewhere (public servers or your own web site if you have one). To be persnickety one should request permission of the creator of the image, but given the way the internet works nowadays that isn’t always easy and might not even be necessary in all cases.

As for the subject of this thread, the birther issue was thoroughly debunked some time ago. Some people will believe anything regardless of the evidence. If you look around the internet, you will find my comments on several online newspaper articles, site forums, and personal blogs dealing with the fact of evolution and the idiocy of those who spread lies about it.

It’s one thing to accept the evidence exists and choose not to believe it. What irks me are the people who try to tell me that what I know is there ain’t there, when it plainly is! I am frequently reminded of that scene in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” where King Arthur cuts off the arm of the Black Knight and the Black Knight denies it even though it is plainly lying there on the ground: “Your arm’s off!” “No it isn’t.” Those who deny the fact of evolution are as ridiculous as that.

  36. Obama the antichrist, thanks for the reminder. I could go to an I.A. meeting and introduce myself: Hello, my name is The Bicycling Guitarist and I’m an idiot.

That conceded, it still frightens me and saddens me that there seems to be such a large percentage of the American population who are so woefully ignorant of the facts of modern science, so much so that they try again and again to force the legislation of ignorance in public school science classrooms, denying the fact of evolution and insisting for equal time for their interpretation of a Bronze Age book of written by and for goatherders of a different time and different place.

Their ideas should be taught in school, but NOT in science classrooms. Equal time for their ideas in a science classroom compared to evolution would only be fair if their ideas explained the evidence equally well, or at least a little. Unfortunately for them, the evidence of the physical world supports evolution and falsifies their interpretation, which is why every court challenge to evolution the past forty years or so (about a dozen major cases) has resulted in Christians and Christianity looking foolish just as Augustine warned a LONG time ago.

  37. And Princessxxx, yes, I agree that if the ministers of some churches are using their priviliged position in this society to push their POLITICAL agenda of Christian theocracy, they should at the very least lose their tax-exempt status.

Overall, there have been advances in communication and knowledge, but apparently a significant portion of our population is so frightened of modernity that there is a considerable backlash and longing for what is sometimes called that “old time religion” which is actually a quite recent development in the history of Christianity and (to me at least) seems further and further from the teachings of Jesus.

This guy just put out another attack saying President Obama was not born in America. Yes, it will not die. I decided to check out his site and send him a prayer request. This is what was sent and his replies. Notice his deep, thoughtful responses that eventually end up with name calling and childish behavior. And his typo at the end is his doing. I just copied and pasted the e-mail exchange. Please request your own prayers to bkeller@liveprayer.com.

    Me:

I would like to request a prayer for President Obama. It seems that he is under attack by bigot religious extremists such as Live Prayer and he is being related to truly evil people, such as Hitler.

As a Roman Catholic, I pray that these organizations, which are no less than the Christian version of Muslim extremists, learn to follow the word of Christ and stop raping the Bible and desecrating Christianity and bending it to meet their own evil, violent, hate-filled agendas.

    God bless.

    Keller:
    pray he stops killing babies
Know that I am praying for you, be richly blessed,
    Bill Keller

    Me:
Last I checked, he has not killed any babies. People kill babies. Abortion is wrong, but the president does not force people to have them. If they were made illegal, people would just do it themselves, as they have since the dawn of time. The president actually said that “nobody is ever for abortion.” Learn to leave people alone. Your kind is the truly scary portion of America that is best left behind. Keep watching FOX News. Keep shining your guns. And keep soiling Jesus’ word by judging others and spreading hate and intolerance.

    Keller:
keep watching MSNBC and following the lies of Satan
Know that I am praying for you, be richly blessed,
    Bill Keller

    Me:
I do not watch MSNBC or any other news organization. I’m not a sheep. I read and make up my own opinion. I do not follow the lies of Satan since I do not support your organization. And I ask that you do not pray for me since a prayer from you would be like getting a box of candies from Osama Bin Laden. Have a nice life. I am done wasting my time with you. All the best.

    Keller:
good..bo bother someone else..who cares what you think..you are an idiot
Know that I am praying for you, be richly blessed,

I have to agree with Bill here (again). This guy is an idiot to say …”Last I checked, he has not killed any babies. People kill babies. Abortion is wrong, but the president does not force people to have them.”

Thanks to Obama it will be even easier for people to kill their babies for any reason.

And because of this comment that he said…” Keep shining your guns.” I’m guessing he’s against gun ownership… but James… if “People kill babies” not the laws then… “people kill people”.. not guns.

And then he says…”Learn to leave people alone” what a hypocrite.

Bill is expressing his concern, and yes trying to get Obama “dethroned”, by speaking out.

That is his right James!… we still live in a free America… so far.

You are the one who is ignorant for critisizing Bill without anything to back it up….

Hey James…. where’s the proof that Obama was born in the US??? That certification of birth is not considered proof in a court of law…

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=110300

Complicating the situation is Obama’s decision to spend sums estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to avoid releasing a state birth certificate that would put to rest all of the questions.

    WHY??

Hey James… someone having an opinion different from yours is actually not the criteria used to deem others wrong. This is an error many liberals make. Most logical thinking people do research before deciding the “facts”. So from now on why don’t you just get your facts straight before you ignorantly, arrogantly, and erroneously judge others of ignorance and full of hate. Hypocrite.

Dorian, this statement doesn’t make sense…

i laud you for your unconditional love for bill keller, in spite of the real and proven facts of his going against one of God’s commandments, “thou shalt not steal”. Exodus 20:15

EVERYONE has gone against God’s commandments… therefore we shouldn’t love anyone?

And this webpage has an enormous list of articles concerning the subject of Obama’s citizenship…

    http://www.wnd.com/eligibility

most of which are about the many court cases challenging Obama’s citizenship.
Logic says that he was defending himself in these court cases. Again, the question is… why doesn’t he just show his actual long form birth certificate? And avoid all of these legal actions??

Dorian says: “princess dear, you should know by now that when it comes to money, ‘conflict of interest’ becomes irrelevant..i’m sure keller is conflicted everytime he tries to scam people but somehow people like him are good at justifying their actions.”

How do you know that Bill is scamming people?? What proof do you have… this is so ironic because you have critisized me for so long for not having any valid proof for things I’ve said about Obama… but the only difference here is that I wasn’t making accusations, I was asking questions… you are making accusations that cannot be backed up.

And where did Bill say that Glenn was satan’s disciple?

you said: “oh i know what you meant…i wanted to add that he was sleeping with the enemy, a satan disciple, that is – according to his very own words. )”

I don’t know about Glenn, but Bill has said that he actually likes Mitt Romney. So see, you are very likely making hasty incorrect assumptions again. Bill may like Glenn, I do… he just believes (as I do) that he is following a false religion…. this also is not a hard concept to understand.

    world net daily, another scam.
Have you contributed to the “Where’s the birth certificate?” billboard campaign yet? It takes at least $40,000 a month just to sustain it. If you haven’t contributed this month, please do so now.
Would you like to see more awareness of the serious questions about Barack Obama’s eligibility to serve as president of the United States? Are you frustrated by the lack of media coverage of this constitutional issue? How would you like to join in a campaign to generate public debate and discussion?

WND, the only news agency in the world that has relentlessly pounded the eligibility questions, is ready to up the ante — with your help.

Donations are being accepted to defray the costs of a national billboard campaign with the simple message: “Where’s the birth certificate?”

The idea is to make sure Obama cannot avoid this question any longer. He must be asked to produce it at every turn. Billboard space is currently being negotiated in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Sacramento, San Francisco, New York-New Jersey, Des Moines, Seattle and other metro areas.

Your donation — from as little as $5 to $1,000 — can be made right here to kick-start this campaign. (Donations are not tax-deductible.)

WHAT if the president of the United States is not constitutionally eligible to serve? Is it possible that a straightforward criterion was overlooked during a long, grueling, expensive campaign? Why are so many questions about something so simple still going unanswered? “A Question Of Eligibility” goes where no other documentary has dared to go in seeking the answers to those questions, including one that millions of Americans are asking: “Why won’t Barack Obama release publicly the long-form birth certificate he claims to have from the state of Hawaii?” In this video, you will hear from four experts on the subject: Dr. Jerome Corsi, author of the New York Times No. 1 bestseller “The Obama Nation”; Orly Taitz, the Southern California lawyer who has led the legal fight to secure the evidence of Barack Obama’s eligibility; Alan Keyes, a third-party presidential candidate in 2008 and the man who challenged Obama for the Illinois U.S. Senate seat that served as a springboard to his presidential ambitions; and Janet Porter, radio talk-show host and political activist who has championed the constitutional issue. A Presentation of WND Films Executive Producer: Joseph Farah Interviewees: Dr. Jerome Corsi, Orly Taitz, Alan Keyes and Janet Porter The remaining credits for the production of this film are being withheld at the request of the filmmakers. They fear reprisals from their government.

Uh, P & Dorian, I just read “Glenn Beck’s deception” again and no where does Bill say that Beck is satan’s disciple.

And Dorian, you said: “kay you and bill have stated numerous times that the mormon church was a satanic cult, so ’nuff said about that one. ”

No, not ’nuff said… Dorian, I’ve also said that I don’t believe that Mormons are bad people. Claiming that a religion is a satanic cult does not automatically mean that the followers are “satan’s disciples”. This is just another example showing how quick liberals are to make ignorant judgements…. WHILE accusing the other person of being ignorant! Hypocrisy to boot!

You gave a link to an article of a woman saying that she’s seen his original long form birth certificate. That is your proof?

Do you have an answer as to why Obama is keeping the rest of us from seeing it?

And you said..”and kay, why is it that you are asking same questions for the umpteenth time when you haven’t even answered my questions? i do not ask you many questions and when i did, on post #44, you ignore them.”

Dorian… 1) you just asked those questions today… you’re implying that they’ve been around awhile. And b) there are so many questions that I have asked you in the past that you’ve ignored that I feel that I am in the right for not answering yours yet, until you answer some of mine but…

3c) I did give an answer that I feel should be good enough… sorry, I don’t have the official / inside/ vip access needed to get you the actual answers that you’ve requested.

I did give you a logical explanation though… that you’re welcome to argue if you like:

And this webpage has an enormous list of articles concerning the subject of Obama’s citizenship…

    http://www.wnd.com/eligibility

most of which are about the many court cases challenging Obama’s citizenship.
Logic says that he was defending himself in these court cases. Again, the question is… why doesn’t he just show his actual long form birth certificate? And avoid all of these legal actions??

Dorian, it’s simple.. it will be a dead issue for me and most everyone else just as soon as he lets the public see the birth certificate that was issued when he was born… not the one that anyone can obtain, especially if they have powerful connections, if you know what I mean.

And pretty much the entire government behind him as well (on both sides of the isle).. it’s pretty obvious that our government doesn’t want Obama to be revealed as inelligible.. we would be the laughing stock of the entire world!! And rightfully so… it’s pathetic that this was allowed to happen. Thank goodness they at least made it a requirement now to show a birth certificate BEFORE a person takes office!

The death panel theory wasn’t dismissed until Obama had it dropped from the bill! And I never claimed Obama was a Muslim or the anti-Christ so those don’t concern me.

And just like the monetary incentive for doctors to encourage the elderly to not prolong their lives was dropped, so was Van Jones, and several other Obama czars in the last couple of weeks or so. This is just like the Mormon church in a way… they’ve had to drop quite a few of Smith’s “revelations” from God also because they knew they were wrong.

Orly Taitz is at it again
    Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 18:01 EDT
    by Alex Koppelman
    story
You can’t stop Orly Taitz, you can only hope to contain her.

Yes, the de facto leader of the Birthers is back — and she’s brought along a second forgery (visible above) that purports to be President Obama’s real birth certificate, proving once and for all that he was born in Kenya and is ineligible to be president.

As was also the case with the first forged birth certificate that Taitz tried, unsuccessfully, to introduce into a lawsuit in which she’s representing Alan Keyes and several other plaintiffs, this new document is a pretty obvious hoax.

It’s so clearly fake, in fact, that Jerome Corsi of World Net Daily — one of the chief promoters of the Birthers and their myths — has already debunked it. Taitz apparently obtained it from one Lucas Smith, who’d previously made several aborted attempts to sell it on eBay. Corsi claims that Smith has “a lengthy criminal record” and once “attempt[ed] to sell his kidney to a man in need of an organ transplant.”

Among other obvious problems with Smith’s document that Corsi pointed out is the format for dates used in it — the American style, not the British style, which presumably would have been used when Kenya was a British colony, as it was at the time of Obama’s birth.

The biggest issue with the document, though, is that its header reads “Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya.” In 1961, when Obama was born and this certificate was supposedly produced, Mombasa was a part of Zanzibar. (The claim of birth in Mombasa is illogical anyway, given where Obama’s family lives in Kenya, but it’s become part of Birthers’ conspiracy theories because the city is in one of the more Muslim parts of the country.)

The lawsuit in which Taitz is representing Keyes might not last for much longer, anyway. Now that the lawyer-slash-dentist has finally served the defendants in the case properly — it took her about half a year — the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, which is charged with the defense, has filed a motion to dismiss. There’ll be a hearing on it in early October, and given Taitz’s track record so far, the chances of the case surviving that hearing seem very slim.

Not to worry, though: She’s already begun another case, this one on behalf of a flight surgeon who says she shouldn’t be deployed to Afghanistan because Obama might not be the legitimate president. This isn’t Taitz’s first try at this tack. A previous case she filed with a military plaintiff ended when the Army simply revoked his orders, as the man had actually volunteered to be put on active duty in the first place, apparently so he could sue. This isn’t even Taitz’s first attempt with this particular suit; it was thrown out of federal court in Texas, so she’s trying again in a federal court in Georgia.

Of course, Taitz says, there’s one easy remedy, one way to satisfy her and make the lawsuits stop. In the latest complaint, she writes:

All that is asked of the President is that he humbly acknowledge and produce his true and complete “original” birth certificate, and that he then confirm and acknowledge that, no matter where he was born, he cannot be President because one of his parents (Obama‘s natural father) was not a US citizen at the time of his son‘s birth.

Yes, all Taitz wants is for the president to acknowledge publicly that he’s a fraud and resign in disgrace. No big deal.

Naturally, though, she’s wrong about the law. Despite what the Birthers think, there’s no definitive judgment saying that to fulfill the Constitution’s requirement that the president be a “natural-born citizen,” both of his or her parents had to be U.S. citizens at the time of the president’s birth. In fact, common law and court precedent points in the other direction.

    ― Alex Koppelman

well, obviously orly taitz has no credibility whatsoever. and yet, she is still one of WND’s main spokespersons on the birther issue. although i do give jerome corsi credit for debunking this one.
i mean, come on, fool me once shame on orly taitz, fool me twice shame on, well, in the words of george w bush, you can’t fool me again. duh!

Yes, Orly does seem like just another person using this issue to gain popularity or make some money. But that she is Jewish does also imply that she is truly concerned about him from a politcal standpoint.. Obama’s stances favor the palistinians over Israel.

Koppelman said: “Yes, all Taitz wants is for the president to acknowledge publicly that he’s a fraud and resign in disgrace. No big deal.”

If Obama didn’t realize that he wasn’t technically a citizen when he was elected president then I’m sure he’d get some understanding and sympathy and possibly even leniency.. who knows… but if he did know, along with the many others in the democratic party then that is a different story. That is disgraceful and disrespectful to this country and the American people. It’s unforgivable.

I don’t think Dorian is right here at all… people have spent considerable amounts of time and money on this issue, why would they do that if they didn’t believe there was something to it? And know one yet, on the web or here, has answered this question…. WHY This is the one that won’t go away

    BORN IN THE USA?

Soviet Union survivor: President spits in face of every U.S. citizen

Dr. Orly Taitz (WND photo / Chelsea Schilling)

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. – She’s the fierce blond attorney behind Obama eligibility lawsuits, a successful dentist with two offices, a second-degree black belt and a mother of three boys who speaks five languages.

Dr. Orly Taitz, a woman with a vibrant smile and an ebullient personality, has not always enjoyed an independent life filled with promise and ambition. She was born and raised in Kishinev (also spelled Chisinau), the capital of the Republic of Moldova, a country in Eastern Europe that was formerly part of the Soviet Union.

Drawing on her experiences under a communist regime, she told WND she is determined to do her part to stop America from following in the all-too-familiar footsteps of her former homeland.

She described her life in a communist nation: Markets were bare, people had no desire to work and the government forced young children into slave labor.

“We’d stop at the store, and the food stores were empty,” she said. “I remember we had to stand in lines for hours in the cold. We were in a bus, going home and suddenly we’d see a line. We wouldn’t even know what they were selling, but we knew something would be there – some food. We’d stand for two hours to buy maybe a pound of salami or a half a pound of butter.”

As a young child, Taitz asked her father why the market shelves were empty.

“In America, they have everything,” he would tell her. “The stores are full.”

Her father explained that Americans were interested in working and received paychecks based on their productivity. However, in the Soviet Union, farmers were part of a socialist system of collective farming and were compensated equally – regardless of output.

He told her, “If a farmer is bright and hard working, at the end of the month, he will get 100 rubles. And if the farmer is a lazy bum and he does nothing, he gets the same 100 rubles.”

Taitz told WND, “People had absolutely no incentive to do anything. They had no incentive to work. The best doctors were getting maybe 150 rubles. That’s why the standards for medicine were so low.”

She said that, much like President Obama’s proposed brigade of youth organizers, the Soviet Union used children for slave labor.

“They would put us on trucks, and we would go to the countryside,” she said. “We were told to go and pick tomatoes.”

Parents were not allowed to homeschool their children. They were forced to enroll them in government schools. From the age of 6, all children were required to become young communists.

“You had to send your child to school, and your child had to be a member of the young communists,” Taitz said. “There were no children who were not members. You had to do it. If you were one of the best, you become a member of the Communist Party. It was constant brainwashing.”

She continued, “There was no choice, and people resented that. They were scared to speak up.”

Most children were sent to communist youth camps, but Taitz’ parents wouldn’t allow her to go. Instead, they gave her stacks of math, physics and chemistry textbooks to study while her friends were away at camps.

“My parents didn’t want me to be in those camps and be subjected to communist brainwashing,” she said. “They wanted me to think for myself. I learned to read by myself, and my parents sent me to competitions in math, physics, chemistry and biology. I would sit and work with pages of problems, and I loved to compete.”

Practice of religion was restricted in the Soviet Union. Churches were closed and repurposed as museums of art.

“You had to be an atheist,” Taitz said. “No one could go and pray. You weren’t allowed to mention any religion. A lot of priests, ministers and rabbis were sent to Siberia, so people were scared. They didn’t celebrate any religious holidays; they just didn’t exist.”

She said alcohol abuse was rampant and caused the destruction of many lives.

“One of the reasons they had such a serious problem with alcoholism was because there was nothing in people’s lives. There was no God, no religion, no choice. You had to conform and comply.”

During her years living in the Soviet Union, Taitz said friends would constantly talk about finding ways to break away from the system.

“They would tell me, ‘This person was very inventive and built a hot-air balloon to get out from East Germany to West Germany, or somebody was able to swim across the border,'” she said. “There were always stories about how people escaped the regime.”

With only one TV station in Kishinev, Taitz said reporters spewed communist propaganda.

In 1981, when she was 21, her uncle managed to escape to Israel. He sent her family papers that allowed them to join him there due to their familial relationship.

When Taitz arrived in Israel, she was stunned to discover a free-market society with full stores. In the Soviet Union, there were no fruits or vegetables in the winter. Her family survived on canned foods, bread and pierogis, or dumplings stuffed with various ingredients such as cheese and potatoes.

“I remember when a lady who came to Israel from the Soviet Union went to the store and asked, ‘When will we have tomatoes?’ She was thinking, maybe March or April,” Taitz said.

“The clerk looked at her and said, ‘Probably in an hour.'”

For a woman who had lived under a communist regime her whole life, freedom was a new concept she had only imagined after listening to her father’s stories.

“It was a completely different feeling, a free feeling,” she said. “There were political parties, and you got to choose whichever one you wanted. In the Soviet Union, there was only one.”

She lived in Israel for several years and attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Taitz met her future husband, a man living in California who visited his family while she was a practicing dentist in Israel in 1987. Only a couple of months after their introduction, he proposed marriage, and she accepted. Her father was reluctant to let his daughter go, but he eventually relented.

“I was scared. Coming to the U.S. was a big step,” she said. “I went to a new country and married a person I hardly knew. I was very scared. So, I came, and right away we drove to Las Vegas.”

Still jet lagged from her flight, Taitz was nearly falling asleep as she arrived at a chapel in the center of the Las Vegas strip.

“We paid to have a limo driver act as our witness, and the minister married us,” she said. “We got some pictures and sent them to my parents to let them know I wasn’t living in sin.”

Because Taitz had foreign dental training, she was required to take dental board exams to practice in the United States. When she took one of her last tests, she was pregnant with her first son.

“I was seven months pregnant with a big belly,” she said. “It was pretty tough.”

Taitz passed the dental boards, and her practice grew substantially. She now has two separate dental offices in Mission Viejo and Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. Two dentists work in Taitz’ offices each week to assist patients.

With a successful practice and a growing family, Taitz decided to enroll in law school at William Howard Taft University. She took distance courses and studied from home in the evenings.

“I just got books and tapes and studied until I passed the exams,” she said. “I passed the California bar, and it is said to be one of the more difficult ones in the nation. When I passed, there was only a 50 percent passing rate.”

With three young sons, Taitz volunteered at her children’s school every Tuesday for 10 years and reserved evenings and weekends for her family.

When her sons enrolled in Taekwondo classes, she eagerly joined them – earning her own second-degree black belt.

With a strong desire to see the world, Taitz has traveled to 40 countries. In addition to English, she speaks Russian, Romanian, Hebrew and Spanish and has a strong understanding of German because her grandparents spoke the language.

When she sold her California home, Taitz also earned her real estate broker’s license to save on commission from the sale. She said she plans to renew it when the eligibility lawsuits have been resolved.

During the recent election campaigns, Taitz paid close attention and grew concerned when stories about President Obama’s birth simply didn’t add up. She followed Philip Berg’s eligibility lawsuit and several other similar complaints across the nation.

On Oct 25, 2008, she sent an e-mail to Debra Bowen, secretary of state of California, urging her to verify Obama’s citizenship status before the elections.

“I wrote, ‘I’m an attorney in Southern California, and I am greatly concerned about Barack Obama’s eligibility,'” she said.

Taitz told Bowen she believed Obama did not have a legitimate, long-form birth certificate proving that he was born in Hawaii. She argued that if a candidate lacked proper documentation of meeting the natural-born citizen requirement, that candidate should be declared ineligible to run.

“She wrote back that there was no requirement for her to check eligibility,” Taitz said. “I asked for a hearing, and I received a letter from her attorney that we would have one. But they lied and never scheduled one. It was appalling that the secretary of state was negligent, reckless, and didn’t check eligibility.”

Frustrated with the response she received from Bowen’s office, Taitz began writing letters to every newspaper she could find. In her letters, she explained why she believed Obama was not eligible and described flaws in the vetting process.

“I wrote that Obama is not eligible to be president and that next time around, we can have Osama bin Laden on our ballots if the only thing one needs to do is write, ‘I am eligible,'” she said.

After she wrote the letters, a woman contacted her at her dental office and invited her to a meeting of 200 people in Garden Grove, Calif., to discuss illegal immigration and various political issues. She attended the meeting and met Pastor Wiley Drake, radio host of “Wiley Drake in Buena Park” and vice presidential candidate for America’s Independent Party

Drake complimented Taitz on her speech and asked her to join him on his radio show. When she agreed, he asked how he could help her pursue the eligibility case.

“I said, ‘From what I understand, Berg’s case was not heard on the merits because they stated that he doesn’t have good standing as an ordinary citizen. You are a vice presidential candidate for America’s Independent Party. If you agree to be a plaintiff, we will do well.”

    He said, “Let’s do it.”

Alan Keyes, the party’s nominee for president, agreed to join the lawsuit as a plaintiff. Chairman Markham Robinson added his name and brought another attorney, Gary Kreep, on board. They filed a writ of mandamus in Sacramento on behalf of Keyes, Robinson and Drake and requested that California’s electors be barred from signing the Certificate of Vote until documentary proof of Obama’s citizenship was produced.

As WND reported, the California court ruled that Bowen “has no ‘ministerial duty’ to demand detailed proof of citizenship from presidential candidates.”

“I decided I couldn’t change the pleadings in Alan Keyes’ case, but I could file another lawsuit,” she said. “So, I got seven plaintiffs and I drove to Los Angeles and filed a case there. By that time, I had a lot of supporters. A lot of people were writing to me, but I asked them to write the Supreme Court of California.”

She said with no explanation, the court denied her lawsuit.

“I could not understand why in the world they denied it,” she said. “So I decided to go straight to the U.S. Supreme Court. On Dec. 11, I flew to Washington and filed the case the next day – the last working day before the meeting of the Electoral College.”

Originally, she filed with Justice Anthony Kennedy, and he denied it. She resubmitted it to Chief Justice John Roberts, and he distributed it for conference.

“On the Jan. 20, the case was on the docket, and everybody could see it,” Taitz said. “Then, right after the inauguration, on Jan. 21, it disappeared. It was as if somebody was trying to please Obama by erasing the docket.”

Taitz has stepped up her fight, approaching Justice Antonin Scalia during his appearance in Los Angeles and hand-delivering documents to Chief Justice John Roberts at his appearance at the University of Idaho. She also presented Roberts with the WND petition, consisting of 3,300 pages of names – more than 325,000 at the time – of people demanding the Supreme Court hear the Obama eligibility case.

Taitz updates her Defend Our Freedoms blog with information about her cases. Her latest challenge to Obama’s eligibility is a Quo Warranto case submitted to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, a legal standard that essentially allows citizens to demand on what grounds someone in authority exercises power.

She has 10 state representatives and about 130 members of the U.S. military signed on as plaintiffs in the action.

It is interesting that when we go to court challenging Obama’s eligibility, I experience such a déjà vu, like I am in the communist Soviet Union again,” Taitz said. “I feel, my God, I am back in a totalitarian regime. I’m shocked by the total and complete idiocy of those judges who come up with such idiotic excuses about why they refuse to sign a subpoena – something so basic to their jobs – to get his records.”

Asked what motivates her continue fighting the eligibility battle, Taitz replied, “I feel that this man is arrogantly spitting in the face of each and every American citizen. I feel like he has just spit in my face. I take it personally that he is trampling on our Constitution and on our laws.”

She continued, “Having the experience that I had in the Soviet Union – seeing lack of freedom, lack of a system of justice, lack of judicial integrity, lack of press with integrity, an economic system in shambles – when I saw all that, I began fighting.”

Taitz said mainstream media in the United States are becoming much like the Soviet Union press, because they do not provide truthful information about Obama and have pushed for his socialist society. She offered a suggestion for dealing with “detached” and “ignorant” reporters who advocate such a system.

“I would put all of them in one airplane – Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Anderson Cooper, Katie Couric, Charles Gibson, all of them. I would load a plane with 500 reporters and send them to some village in Siberia or some village in China or Mongolia or Korea or Cuba, and tell them, ‘Why don’t you survive there for a year,'” she said.

“I guarantee you, after a year they will come here and they’ll be to the right of Rush Limbaugh. They’ll think Rush Limbaugh is a communist.”

Taitz said if Obama is found to be ineligible, he must be unseated and tried for crimes he committed against citizens of the United States.

“The whole election would be annulled, and all of the laws signed by Obama would be null and void,” she said with conviction. “In that case, somebody like Vice President Joe Biden must become president pro tempore for two or three months until we are able to organize a new election.”

In Hebrew, “Orly” means “light” – and that’s just what Taitz hopes to be for others who are willing to demand proof of Obama’s eligibility and take a stand against his socialist plans for the nation.

Drawing on her early life experiences, Taitz issued a word of warning for Americans:

“The worst thing you can ever do is be scared in the face of evil,” she said. “Never be too scared to stand tall and speak up.”

and kay, i see you say again, “I don’t think Dorian is right here at all… people have spent considerable amounts of time and money on this issue, why would they do that if they didn’t believe there was something to it? And know one yet, on the web or here, has answered this question…. WHY This is the one that won’t go away?”

kay, where is your proof that people have spent comsiderable amounts of time and money on this issue? i want to see links, and i’m not going to go look them up for you. and please, don’t use world net daily as a credible source, they are not.

P said: “i mean, come on, fool me once shame on orly taitz, fool me twice shame on, well, in the words of george w bush, you can’t fool me again. duh!”

The funniest George Bush moment ever…it’s my favorite, it cracks me up every time 🙂

I don’t think Dorian is right here at all… people have spent considerable amounts of time and money on this issue, why would they do that if they didn’t believe there was something to it? And no one yet, on the web or here, has answered this question…. WHY is Obama fighting the release of so much of his personal information/ history starting with his true, long form birth certificate? This is the one that won’t go away.

If you all cannot answer that question (based on fact) then it is flat out wrong to critisize anyone who questions his legitimacy. The bias is extremely obvious here.

…see? that’s the definition of ignorance… immediately dismissing something just because it has the word prayer in it… just try to get past what offends you and read the facts in that link.. Obama removed the American flag from his plane AND replaced it with a symbol that suppports what all Muslims believe…that he is the fulfillment of Islamic prophecy and he clearly believes it himself!!!
    http://www.liveprayer.com/ddarchive3.cfm?id=3411 It is so obvious!!!

Tink2002.. I see now.. I didn’t realize that it was a registered trademark. But he should have replaced it with another American Flag (and the same for McCain if that is what he did also). What Obama replaced it with is still suspicious and that he did this right before his trip to the Middle East is very concerning. What about Obama’s ‘sun rising in the west’ symbol that supports Islamic prophecy ?????

Obama’s campaign symbol depicts the sun rising over the American flag…. Islamic prophecy (prophetic commentary on the Qu’ran, Bukhari Volume 60, book 60, 159,) says that “the sun will rise in the west….”. 20% of THE WORLD’S population (Muslims) believe that Barack Obama is the fulfillment of this prophecy!!!

Proudamerican… are you still there? I’m still waiting for your response… you called me ignorant and in my response I proved that the reverse is true… no comment? I don’t mean to pick on you but I would really like to get a response from Obama supporters about his Islamic campaign symbol… putting your heads in the sand is un American and dangerous!! What happened to “we will never forget (9/11)”??? Is Obama the fulfillment of Islamic prophecy??? ttp://www.liveprayer.com/ddarchive2.cf

I don’t see how he could plead ignorance – he did go to a Muslim school so he must know about Muslim beliefs. I’m just saying… this needs to be addressed. I’m going to post the link to the commentary about this which includes the (verifiable) Islamic prophecy. If you choose not to read it… well, don’t accuse anyone of ignorance anymore because it will make you a hypocrite.

..which we as Americans ARE capable of deeming as irrelevant, just like his Muslim schooling and name, UNTIL you are made aware of the symbol that HE has picked to represent himself.
I hope you are still reading Nescobal…our last posts were six pages back.. I’m going to keep posting this until I get a response…
OR YOU are guilty of IGNORANCE!! Educate yourself about what Muslims believe… LOOK at Obama’s campaign symbol… and then give me your HONEST opinion and I will respect it. I will try to summarize here but the commentary link explains in more detail… there is an Islamic prophecy that states…” The hour will not be established until the sun rises from the west…” First.. Muslims believe that if your father is a Muslim then you are a Muslim whether you call yourself a Muslim or not..cont.

well, i suspected as much as i have been quite familiar with kellers obama muslim theories.
keller put out a video about obama being a muslim and the fulfillment of muslim prophecy. totally bogus made up bullsh!t.
i wonder who keller stole that idea from? i bet wnd.

kay, what is it with you and keller?
seriously, there is something more than just being a fan, it’s like you are obssesed.
i guess i shouldn’t talk, i’m just as obsessed, but on the opposite end of the spectrum.
i hate the man, i know hate is a strong word, but it’s true.
he is evil, he is a total liar and he makes a mockery of real christian beliefs.

and i have one more point.
kay, if obama were the antichrist, there is nothing in the world, including bill keller’s tacky youtube videos and wnd’s billboards that will dethrone him.
jesus takes care of that later.
that is if you really do believe that the bible is the inerrant word of god.
suggested reading: the book of revelations. it’s all been pre-ordained.

of course i don’t believe any of it, but you claim to.

Yes, everyone, please read those posts… and then you will see what inspired me to write “Reverse Ignorance, A troubling new Social Ill…

“REVERSE IGNORANCE”….A TROUBLING NEW SOCIAL ILL

Dorian, no where did I say that Obama was a practicing Muslim (or non practicing)… I’ve never believed that so I know that I didn’t say that. Again, you are getting confused and making incorrect and ignorant assumptions (again). I did say and still say that Obama very well could believe that he is the fullfillment of Islamic prophecy.

Isstevens made the same ignorant mistake, he said:

“Ignorant is the word I use to describe someone who believes that Senator Obama is a muslim just because he doesn’t call the teachings of Islam “a lie from hell”

Again, neither Bill or I claimed that Obama was a Muslim!! What is it with liberals? And if I used the word “stupid” I was wrong… I’m sure I meant ignorant… those two terms are so closely related it’s easy to get them mixed up.

As I believe I stated before on the SNL site and here, we’ll most likely never know what Obama was thinking when he chose that symbol to represent himself. And also like I’ve said over and over (which clearly is necessary with liberals it seems) I personally believe that Obama was probably just taking advantage of the situation to gain financial support from Muslims who were willing to support him. My point always was for the painfully blind liberals, who were so enamoured with Obama, to open their eyes and question for themselves.. to look at the evidence unbiasedly. Obviously and sadly it doesn’t seem that any of them likely figured that out… they probably STILL believe it is all about racism, intolerance and ignorance to this very day…. huh Dorian?

no one has the answer to why that birther obsession won’t go away. obsessive/compulsive type personalities typically need medication and some are in denial of their disorder and refuse medication.

but it would be good to know some crucial details [see post #44] as to the “considerable amounts of time and money” being spent by______??? because that information would be key to incriminating the perpetrators of this fraud.
once we get confirmations, we can continue to discuss this conspiracy theory if everybody’s up to it. maybe we can beat the obama muslim logo snl thread record.
or maybe ms. taitz will receive the lexapro and forget about the whole thing.
that would be good because rachel’s getting really annoyed by this, eh?

Even Yahoo Answers can’t answer the question…

    Resolved Question
Why won’t Obama’s Legal defense team in the ongoing case Berg v Obama produce the Birth Certificate this week?
I have asked twice for opinions on the Obama v Berg case and both times yahoo answers has censored my questions. This question is well within the guidelines of the community and is based off a very real legal case, Berg v Obama. With startling consequences should it turn out that Obama does not meet the requirements to hold the office of president due to his being born outside the USA.

Berg is “Outraged” that Obama & DNC Hide Again Behind Legal Issues as their attorney files a Motion for Protective Order to “not” Answer Admissions & Production of Documents while Betraying Public in not Producing Documents proving Obama is “qualified” to be a candidate for President.

It is believed Obama is an “illegal alien”

    For Immediate Release: – 10/06/08

(Contact info and pdf of press release below)

Country is Headed to a Constitutional Crisis

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 10/06/08) – Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and Democratic National Committee [DNC] filed a Joint Motion for Protective Order to Stay Discovery Pending a Decision on the Motion to Dismiss (which was) filed on 09/24/08.

While legal, Berg stated he is “outraged as this is another attempt to hide the truth from the public; it is obvious that documents do not exist to prove that Obama is qualified to be President.” The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

Their joint motion indicates a concerted effort to avoid the truth by attempting to delay the judicial process, although legal, by not resolving the issue presented: that is, whether Barack Obama meets the qualifications to be President.

It is obvious that Obama was born in Kenya and does not meet the “qualifications” to be President of the United States pursuant to our United States Constitution. Obama cannot produce a certified copy of his “Vault” [original long version] Birth Certificate from Hawaii because it does not exist.

I further demand that if yahoo is going to continue its censorship of this topic that yahoo staff specify exactly which paragraph of the guidelines this question violates as this is the third time I have had to ask a question on this topic in the hopes of getting an answer.

Even though WorldNetDaily reported in August that the birth certificate released by Barack Obama’s campaign is “authentic” as determined by its own investigation, and that a lawsuit by Philip J. Berg, an attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter, claiming that Obama is a non-citizen of the U.S. and thus ineligible to run for president “relies on discredited claims,” WND has fully embraced assertions that the certificate is a forgery or otherwise insufficient proof that Obama is a U.S. citizen.

Further, no original WND article published on the subject of Obama’s birth certificate since that article first appeared has referenced its claims, according to a search of WND’s archives.

While WND has not acknowledged the article, it has also not publicly retracted it or otherwise deleted it from its website — which indicates that it stands by the claims made in it. This further suggests that it is knowingly printing questionable or false claims about Obama’s birth certificate, and thus perpetrating a fraud on its readers.

ConWebWatch has detailed WND’s refusal to acknowledge its previous reporting during its attempts before the Nov. 4 election to raise questions about Obama’s birth. WND’s efforts to promote questions about the birth certificate have escalated dramatically since the election — but there’s still no acknowledgment of of its own reporting contradicting those concerns.

In that run-up to the election, WND reporter Jerome Corsi’s visit to Hawaii resulted in an Oct. 30 article claiming that Obama and Frank Marshall Davis — whom Corsi describes as a “Marxist activist” and “also the author of an autobiographical novel boasting of “swinging” and sex with minors” — sold drugs together in Hawaii in the 1970s. Corsi cites a “credible source, a well-known resident of Honolulu who spoke at length with WND on condition he not be named” as the source of his claim; Corsi offers no evidence that he corroborated it with anyone who isn’t an Obama-hater like him eager to publicize any smear. Nor does Corsi explain why his anonymous source is “credible.”

Corsi’s traipsing around Hawaii drew the attention of none other than Andy Martin — noted anti-Semite and fabulist, as well as the filer of a frivolous lawsuit against me — accusing Corsi of following in his footsteps:

Jerome Corsi began his book with a citation to my original work on Barack Obama. Now Corsi has filed a copycat request for Barack Obama’s original birth certificate, after I filed a lawsuit in Honolulu seeking the same document. Why didn’t Corsi seek Obama’s birth certificate before he wrote his book, not months afterwards?
It looks like I started something.

    […]

A couple of weeks ago Corsi was in Kenya saying Obama was born there. Now he is in Hawai’i accepting my theory that Obama was born in Hawai’i. Corsi can’t seem to make up his mind between Kenya and Hawai’i. Maybe he is waiting for me to tell him the facts. Perhaps he knows better than to believe his own b.s. Corsi knows whom to believe: me. He might even buy my book, Obama: The Man Behind The Mask.

    […]

Mr. Corsi’s breathless disclosure of newspaper announcements from 1961 is also old news. We have had those for months. Why is Corsi undercutting his “Kenya” theory? Or is it “We all believe Andy, because Andy is the only real investigator in this parade?”

WND has previously portrayed Martin as a credible source — in a Sept. 29 article, Aaron Klein affirmatively cited Martin to attack Obama, apparently deciding that because Martin’s claims were “referenced on multiple other blogs,” they must, therefore be true. Meanwhile, even Fox News has apologized for booking Martin onto Sean Hannity’s weekly program to hurl more Obama smears, even if Hannity himself has not.

(Martin, by the way, thinks Davis is Obama’s father. Surprisingly, Martin manages to be out-crazied on this subject by far-right blogger Pamela Geller, who believes Obama is the illegitimate son of Malcolm X.)

Getting caught following in Martin’s footsteps was no deterrent to Corsi: He penned a Nov. 2 article in which he claimed “there is considerable evidence that Obama was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii as the candidate and his campaign have maintained.”

Corsi’s so-called “considerable evidence”? An interview he did with “Sayid Obama, brother of Barack Obama senior and the uncle of Sen. Barack Obama,” who said he didn’t know “whether Barack Obama junior was born in Kenya or in Hawaii.”

Such wild attacks didn’t deter voters, but Obama’s decisive election victory was a bitter pill for WND writers to swallow:

    — “The sense of betrayal I feel at this time from my fellow citizens is beyond comprehension, let alone description. I had assumed not more than 35 percent of our fellow citizens would vote for an eloquent socialist gasbag with an empty resume, a carefully sanitized past and a massive wealth redistribution plan.” — Craige McMillan, Nov. 6 column.

    — “It was the Sunday after the election, and everywhere I looked I could only see impending doom. There is no way God would have allowed Barack Obama to become president were He not finally turning America over to judgment, to whatever great or lesser extent that will be. I sat in my mother’s church and was surprised to feel anger when the worship leader smiled and sang the same songs as ever, as if life hadn’t drastically changed the week before, as if the Church itself wasn’t indicted by Obama’s election.” — Jill Stanek, Nov. 12 column.

    — “Why do you think young people overwhelmingly supported Barack Obama? Could it be because they have been taught by government schoolteachers that socialism is good and capitalism is bad? Could it be because they have been indoctrinated to believe it is discriminatory to uphold marriage as an institution between one man and one woman? Could it be because parents have given over their kids for most of their waking hours to the state, forsaking their own godly duty to train up their children in the ways of the Lord? You bet it could.” — Joseph Farah, Nov. 8 column.

Such bitterness apparently prompted WND to double down on the claim that Obama’s birth certificate is fraudulent — again, ignoring its own previous reporting to the contrary.

Chelsea Schilling — who previously wrote an Oct. 16 article on “a second lawsuit challenging Barack Obama’s ‘natural born’ citizenship” — wrote a Nov. 13 article stating that “More than a half-dozen legal challenges have been filed in federal and state courts demanding President-elect Barack Obama’s decertification from ballots or seeking to halt elector meetings, claiming he has failed to prove his U.S. citizenship status.” Both reference Berg’s lawsuit, but not WND’s previous statement that Berg’s lawsuit “relies on discredited claims.”

Joseph Farah, meanwhile, was demonstrating that WND’s feigned ignorance of its own previous reporting on the birth certificate comes straight from the top. In his Nov. 17 column, Farah claimed that “Obama’s record of non-cooperation and secrecy” in the matter of his birth certificate “has now resulted in conspiracy theories that will plague him throughout his administration if he doesn’t address them now with utter transparence. … Count me among those who really want to see that birth certificate now.” He too failed to note the previous reporting on the website he operates. Further to the contrary, an Oct. 22 article by WND rival Newsmax otherwise attacking Obama for being the “most secretive Democratic presidential candidate ever” also cited examples in which “the Obama campaign has offered to provide additional information to reporters if they have specific questions or issues,” one of them being … the birth certificate.

Farah followed up with a Nov. 19 column:

Next time you move to another state and need a new driver’s license, try this: Refuse to produce the birth certificate or any other personal information required by the department of motor vehicles. Just explain that a facsimile of the required document is posted on your website and give the clerk the domain name.
Tell them: “I’m following the example of President-elect Barack Obama. If he didn’t need to produce a birth certificate to establish his eligibility to be president of the United States, why would you require me to produce one to get a lousy driver’s license?”

    See if it flies.

Again, no mention that Farah’s own employees have found the birth certificate to be authentic.

In a Nov. 19 teleseminar WND conducted with Corsi, Farah and WND managing editor David Kupelian, Corsi upped the conspiratorial ante:

And I was dispatched twice to Hawaii. We’ve hired some very, very top private investigators. And again, these birth certificate documents are sealed. So you simply cannot get the original documents.
In Kenya, I was regularly told by people who knew, even as they witnessed Obama’s birth in Kenya. They’ve given testimony and affidavits to that effect, but I wasn’t permitted to see any. And the original documents the Kenyan government is not releasing.

    […]

My conclusion is the documents are being hidden. They are not being released. And I think that’s something the American people ought to be dramatically concerned … before the inauguration.

That sentiment was echoed by Farah:

It is amazing to me — think about this, folks — that the biggest scoop any news organization could have had during this campaign and after this campaign prior to this inauguration would be to get a legitimate copy of Obama’s real birth certificate. This is a man who pledged to come into the presidency and bring a new openness to government, and the biggest state secret in the United States today is where was this guy born.
You guessed it — no mention of WND’s own previous reporting.

Declaring that he’s “raising the stakes” in the manufactured controversy over Barack Obama’s birth certificate, Farah claimed in his Nov. 21 column that he is “personally sponsoring a petition campaign right here at this Internet news source, to all controlling legal authorities to determine Barack Obama’s eligibility for the presidency under Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution and to use all of their persuasive powers to make this information freely available to the rulers of this country – we the people.” Farah writes:

I tell you all this because despite the shroud of secrecy over the birth certificate issue, there are some organizations out there insisting it is all a tempest in a teapot – that the issue is settled, that the birth certificate has been released, that Obama has been determined to be eligible by some mystery authority.
One such organization, Factcheck.org, characterizes any who question its assertion that this matter is settled as conspiracy mongers. But, as for me, when it comes to matters as important as the Constitution of the United States, I do not accept the opinion of armchair researchers.

No mention of course, that one of the “mystery authorities” that has previously determined [Obama] to be eligible” is … WorldNetDaily.

And so on. WND columnist and Faith2Action chief Janet Folger Porter joined the fun, using her Nov. 25 column to call the issue “Rathergate all over again with more amiss than a 1970s Selectric typewriter,” asserting that the “Certificate of Live Birth documents posted on Mr. Obama’s website http://www.fightthesmears.com, Daily Kos (a pro-Obama blog) and factcheck.org, (a pro-Obama political research group), were found to be altered and forged.”

If Porter really wants a Rathergate-like scandal to investigate, she should check into a much closer parallel: Corsi’s use of bogus documents to smear Obama by falsely linking him to Keyan prime minister Raila Odinga.

Porter’s claim that Factcheck.org is “a pro-Obama political research group” is false; in fact, it has criticized the Obama campaign for straying from the facts on numerous occasions. Not a surprising smear, given that Porter is perhaps best known for uncritically quoting a neo-Nazi racist to advance her anti-gay agenda.

As December rolled around, WND ratcheted up the attacks:

    — A Dec. 1 article by Bob Unruh quoting so-called “imaging guru” Ron Polarik’s claims that the certificate Obama released is “forged” fails to reference the August WND article calling Obama’s birth certificate “authentic.”

    — A Dec. 1 article urging readers to FedEx a letter (through WND, of course) urging the Supreme Court to “review a case Friday challenging the eligibility of Barack Obama under Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution, which stipulates the position can only be filled by ‘a natural born citizen'” fails to reference the August WND article calling Obama’s birth certificate “authentic.” (WND claims it sent “6,682 FedEx packages of nine letters each” to the Supreme Court. WND charged each letter-writer $9.95 for the privilege. Somehow we suspect FedEx charged WND a lot less than $89.45 each to overnight those envelopes to Washington — meaning that WND has turned its hatred of Obama into a profit center.)

    — A Dec. 1 article by Schilling on Berg’s lawsuit fails to reference the August WND article stating that it “relies on discredited claims.”

    — A Dec. 1 column by Farah repeating claims that the certificate is a “forgery” fails to reference the August WND article calling Obama’s birth certificate “authentic.”

    — A Dec. 2 WND column by Janet Folger Porter once again promoting claims that the certificate is fake fails to reference the August WND article calling Obama’s birth certificate “authentic.”

    — A Dec. 2 article by Schilling on alleged “concerned citizens” placing newspaper ads aiming to “compel Barack Obama to release documentation proving he is a natural-born citizen” fail to mention the WND article proving he already has.

    — A Dec. 3 column by Farah claiming WND is “the only news organization covering something as momentous as whether the man presumed to be the next president is actually legally eligible to hold the office” fails to note that it has already demonstrated that Obama is.

    — A Dec. 4 column by Alan Keyes — who has joined Berg and Martin in filing his own lawsuit suggesting Obama isn’t a citizen — claimed that “Evidence has emerged … that raise doubts as to whether Barack Obama is in fact a natural born U.S. citizen, eligible to be president,” without acknowledging WND’s evidence to the contrary.

With each article WND publishes on Obama’s birth certificate that fails to acknowledge that August article declaring the certificate “authentic,” it perpetrates a journalistic fraud on its readers. Certainly WND’s employees are not so stupid as to be unaware the article exists; thus, the only logical conclusion is that WND is deliberately ignoring, which constitutes the basis for this fraud.

If WND no longer stands by the article, it should say so. If it does stand by the article, it should stop promoting the fiction that Obama is not a U.S. citizen.

Those are the only two choices available to an ethical journalist. But WND’s journalists have proven they have no interest in behaving in an ethical manner.

Until Joseph Farah and WND come clean and tell the truth, they cannot be trusted as a credible news source. If it can’t reconcile its own reporting, why trust anything else it publishes?

WorldNetDaily Wants You To Think Obama Is the Antichrist
    By Terry Krepel
    Posted 8/19/2009
    Updated 9/7/2009

What do you do after you’ve repeatedly likened President Obama to Nazis? If you’re WND, you turn “The Daily Show” into reality and go the Antichrist route.
    ——————————————————————————–

You’re WorldNetDaily. You’ve made your name (and a fair bit of money) by throwing every bit of mud you can find at President Obama, telling lies and beyond. You’ve even repeatedly depicted him as a Nazi. What do you do for an encore?

Well, you reach for the trump card that resonates most deeply with your far-right, evangelical Christian audience: You liken Obama to the Antichrist.

This latest attempt by WND to denigrate and dehumanize the president of the United States appears to have its genesis in a spam email circulating in early 2008 citing the Book of Revelation purportedly describing an Obama-like figure as the Antichrist. As urban legend-debunking website Snopes.com pointed out, Revelation makes no such direct claim.

WND latched onto it through an August 2008 column by Hal Lindsey, who wrote of “a messiah-like figure, charismatic and glib and seemingly holding all the answers to all the world’s questions,” adding:

It won’t be Barack Obama, but Obama’s world tour provided a foretaste of the reception he can expect to receive.

He will probably also stand in some European capital, addressing the people of the world and telling them that he is the one that they have been waiting for. And he can expect as wildly enthusiastic a greeting as Obama got in Berlin.

The Bible calls that leader the Antichrist. And it seems apparent that the world is now ready to make his acquaintance.
The powers that be at WND, it seems, filed these ideas away for future use, even as others ran with them.

The time for WND to resurrect the idea came on July 30, with a article by Joe Kovacs touting an anonymous YouTube video claiming that the Bible depicts Barack Obama as the Antichrist. Kovacs interviewed the anonymous video-maker, who said he mashed up a sentence from the Book of Isaiah with a sentence from the Gospel of Luke, pulled out the Hebrew equivalents of the words “lightning” and “heaven” and determined, in words of the video voice-over: “If spoken by a Jewish rabbi today, influenced by the poetry of Isaiah, he would say these words in Hebrew … ‘I saw Satan as Baraq Ubamah.'”

Kovacs offered no critique of the scholarship of the video’s conclusion, even though he purports to be a Bible scholar who has written a book (WND-published, natch) claiming to offer “a fresh, amazing look at what’s actually found in the pages of the greatest book of all time.”

Meanwhile, religious blogger Richard Bartholomew offered a more likely explanation:

The “U” slips in as a Hebrew “vav” construction, supposedly to link “lightning” and “heaven” to together.

Of course, this is yet another farrago of nonsense; as with Walid Shoebat’s crackpot exegesis of the Book of Revelation, this kind of re-interpretation is not warranted by any problem in the text, and it does violence to the context – Jesus in Luke 10:17-20 is clearly celebrating Satan’s fall in response to his disciples’ reports of their successes as exorcists.

In fact, the Greek word used in the verse from Luke translated as ”Heaven” is “ouranos” (or “ouranou”, to keep the correct case ending). If one wanted to render this into Hebrew or Aramaic (which is not, by the way, “the most ancient form of Hebrew”), it would be more appropriate to use “shamayim” than “bamah”, notwithstanding Isaiah 14:14 (where the context has Satan rising to somewhere beyond the “bamah”, anyway). Another difficulty is that the verb “fall” has been dropped from ppsimmon’s final version: it’s obvious that Satan is being compared metaphorically to the physical phenomenon of lightning, as Satan supposedly falls from the sky. Or did Jesus mean to say “I saw Satan fall like Barack Obama”? What would that mean? As for the “vav” construction, those are attached to certain verbs rather than nouns, and they are not used to indicate the preposition “from”.
WND followed up this smear with an Aug. 5 column by Joel Richardson — who, as ConWebWatch detailed, featured the factually challenged story of self-proclaimed former terrorist Walid Shoebat in a previous WND-published book — carrying the headline, “What Obama and the Antichrist have in common.” Richardson tries to be too clever by half, asserting that “Before I continue, I want to make it very clear that in no way do I believe that President Obama is the Antichrist” — then outlining all the ways that Obama is like the Antichrist.

Richardson also worked in the theme of his new WND-published book “The Islamic Antichrist,” in which he claims that, yes, the Antichrist is Islamic — specifically, the messianic figure known as the Mahdi. But as Bartholomew has detailed, this view relies on “voodoo scholarship” by reading contemporary events into the Bible’s Book of Daniel when “it was written with a contemporary audience [the 2nd Century BCE] in mind; it does not contain secrets that make sense only thousands of years later.”

Richardson then ties it all together by making the long-discredited suggestion that Obama is a secret Muslim:

We have just watched as a man lacking virtually any proper qualifications rose to become the most powerful man in the world, almost solely on his charisma and his shallow appeal to class envy. Today, throughout the Islamic world, the masses are yearning for and longing for a populist messiah figure known as the Mahdi who, according to their very own prophecies, will employ precisely the same methods as Obama.
Despite what Richardson disingenuously claims, he is in fact linking Obama to the Antichrist.

WND liked Richardson’s smear so much, it was promoted in an Aug. 10 email to its readers. The message includes the disingenuous disclaimer that “Richardson is quick to point out he does not believe Obama is that future global leader,” but it makes sure to add that Obama’s “messianic appeal and some of his policies do foreshadow the dreaded ‘man of sin,’ says Richardson.”

(UPDATE 9/7/009: This is not the first time that WND has tried to link a Democratic presidential candiate to the Antichrist. As ConWebWatch previously noted, an October 2004 WND article showed a photo of John Kerry surrounded by people holding posters with a large number 6 on them; WND helpfully noted: “According to the book of Revelation in the Bible, the number “666” is associated with an end-time beast power.”)

Just because WND has found a new way to smear Obama doesn’t mean it has abandoned the old ones. Its writers have continued to repeatedly liken Obama to Nazis (though several of them seem to be singing from the same talking points):

Lenin and Hitler used the national and economic disasters in their countries to ride to political victory. Conquest in a time of disaster! I believe the United States is in the midst of a similar development, spearheaded by Barrack Hussein Obama.

    […]

Watching him in his speech to enthusiastic naïve youngsters, I recalled the times when I saw Hitler in the same position in front of masses of enthusiastic people who adored him. There is much similarity between Hitler and Obama, both being adored by millions. Both have an agenda that declares the march into slavery to be a march into a better future. If you look at the front cover of my recent book, “Defeating the Totalitarian Lie,” and take the photo of Hitler out and put Obama’s in, it would look real.
    — Hilmar von Campe, April 4 column

What kind of Christianity did [Rev. Jeremiah] Wright teach Obama that this man can believe that a politician can be a Christian by tolerating hatred and making abortion part of his political platform? Barack Obama has a hidden agenda. He is closer to the Nazis than to our Founding Fathers[.]
    — Hilmar von Campe, May 4 column

Did you know that Hilter wasn’t right-wing? He was actually a socialist. That’s what Nazi means — national socialist. He had a lot more in common with Obama than he did with Reagan or Bush or Bush Jr.
    — Molotov Mitchell, May 6 video, complete with this image:

A now well-known political figure ran a campaign promising change. His success was largely due to his skill as an orator, his use of words. He used many words to assuage his detractors, claiming that capitalism and the church were in no danger from him and he was no threat to those who had worked hard and succeeded. He was fortunate to be conducting his campaign during a severe economic downturn. The stock market had fallen, banks had failed, businesses were closing, and unemployment was increasing.

As we know, this politician was elected to the highest office in the land. His programs promoted redistribution of income, government control of large industries, nationalization of trusts and banks, and the suppression of religious conscience. He derided the people he felt were in control of the monetary system and complained that negative elements in society were trying to hold back the progress that he was going to ensure with his new programs. From the beginning he supported abortion and euthanasia – for certain groups of people. This politician’s name, of course, was Adolf Hitler.
    — Dr. Frank Rosenbloom, June 19 column

After this letter Obama sent to the ayatollah is fully vetted, I’m sure it will become clear that much in the same way as the 1938 Munich Treaty between Neville Chamberlain and Hitler lit the fuse for World War II and the Nazi genocide of 6 million Jews in the Holocaust, so we will soon learn that Obama’s appeasement letter to the ayatollah gave Iran the green light to steal the presidential election, brutally crush all political dissent and develop nuclear weapons with impunity to “wipe Israel off the map.”
    — Ellis Washington, June 27 column

As the modern-day freedom fighters begin to organize and strategize, the government chooses not to reform, but to entrench and expand its control over the people.

The similarity is remarkable, between the rise of the Democratic Socialist Party now in control of Washington and the rise of the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany in the 1930s.

Led by an articulate orator, the German government set out to nationalize health care, transportation, manufacturing and law enforcement. The Obama government has set out to nationalize manufacturing of autos and the finance industry. The Obama-backed “cap and trade” legislation will effectively nationalize the energy and transportation industries. And Obama’s nationalized health care program is on the front burner.
    — Henry Lamb, July 4 column

Even when my wife and I lived in Germany for five years, I thought I would never be able to experience what the ordinary, moral German felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the savior was a former smooth-talking demagogue rabble-rouser from the streets of Munich, not too unlike the man from Chicago at the helm of our country today. The average German knew next to nothing about him. What they did know was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory and without a teleprompter. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and waved a lot. People, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his “brown shirts” would bully them into submission.

Then when he was duly elected to office, with a full-throttled economic crisis at hand (the Great Depression). Slowly but surely he seized the controls of German state power, department by department, person by person, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The kids were forced to join a Youth Movement in his name, where they were taught what to think and how to behave. How did he get the people on his side? He did it promising jobs to the jobless, money to the moneyless and goodies for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating and installing gun control to disarm the folks, health care for all, better wages, better jobs and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe and across the world – none of which he could have done with out compliant media, just like what we are suffering through now! Did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and change. And the people surely got what they voted for.
    — Bill Rouchell, Aug. 14 “letter of the week”

WND even managed to work in oblique Nazi references into its Obama birth certificate coverage. A July 9 WND article by Joe Kovacs declared that “Federal law regarding the release of health records is so restrictive and intimidating, U.S. hospitals could conceivably refuse to confirm or deny if Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler were born in their facility.”

WND has also continued to display hypocritical outrage when prominent conservatives are compared to Nazis. In an April 20 article, Chelsea Schilling stated: “While CNN reporter Susan Roesgen became obviously upset when a Tax Day tea partier compared President Obama to Hitler, she showed no such concern when a protester did the same to President Bush in 2006.”
Despite such purported outrage when conservatives are depicted as Nazis, WND hypocritically defends its own depictions of Obama as a Nazi.

In his Aug. 17 column, WND editor Joseph Farah asserted that “national socialism … was then and remains today, despite the denials of historical revisionists, a ‘left-wing’ idea. All socialism is, by definition, a left-wing notion.” Which, given the Nazis’ hatred of leftists and communists, cannot be true.

Farah then asserted that “Obama seeks to use his power to impose policies that have, like it or not, a striking resemblance to those Hitler promoted in the 1930s,” followed by a laundry list of unsubstantiated claims such as “Infanticide” and “Unfair treatment of Jews, in Obama’s case, with regard to Middle East conflict.” Farah then complained that is “acceptable for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to say American citizens attending congressional town halls are swastika-carrying thugs,” even though some of those protesters were indeed carrying swastikas and engaging in thuggish behavior.

Farah concludes by denying that he’s unfairly likening Obama to Nazis: “Am I calling Obama a little Hitler, a Nazi or a fascist? I am saying American liberty faces very serious challenges from the country’s own leadership – not from citizens who dissent against those policies. That’s what happened in Weimar, Germany, too.”

What Farah doesn’t mention, of course, is the striking resemblence of WND’s anti-Obama rhetoric to that of the Nazis against the Jews.

Fredric J. Baumgartner wrote in his book “Longing for the End: A History of Millennialism in Western Civilization”:

The great enemy the Germans had to destroy to achieve their golden age was not Antichrist but the Jews. Yet Nazi rhetoric against the Jews was remarkably similar to that about Antichrist. The Nazis looked for the marks to identify a Jew as thoroughly and eagerly as any premillennialist did for Antichrist.
By employing this same style of rhetoric against Obama, Farah and WND are indeed acting like the Nazis — just as self-proclaimed former Nazi (and WND columnist) Hilmar von Campe, who nevertheless employs similar Nazi-esque smears against Obama.
Likening Obama to Hitler is not only utterly natural for Farah and his WND to do, they’ve apparently gotten bored with it — hence the move to Antichrist imagery, despite the fact that doing so emulates those they claim to despise.

Yet, all of this was foreseen by “The Daily Show.” A February 2009 segment features correspondent Jason Jones interviewing activists alternately likening Obama to Hitler and the Antichrist. This ultimately drives Jones into a conspiratorial frenzy, wandering the streets with a bullhorn and a sandwich board reading “Obama Is The Antichrist And/Or Hitler!”

So what happens when WND gets bored with with the Antichrist smear? What new monstrous figure will Joseph Farah and Co. liken Obama to then? We’ll find out soon enough — just keep watching “The Daily Show.”

P, do you think I wasn’t aware that Bill said that? It’s in my post. You are not taking what he is saying in the proper context (is this dishonesty on YOUR part or just ignorance?) When Bill makes that statement, he doesn’t believe that Obama is a Muslim, he’s stating that according to Islam (which Bill does not follow), Obama is considered a Muslim by birth because his father was a Muslim. No where does Bill claim that he believes that Obama is a practicing Muslim and neither have I.

Please get off the technicalities… you’re missing the points.

Next… as to the Yahoo answers question… my point was not about the Berg case… you got confused again P ( I know, it’s a liberal thing), I was making the point that even Yahoo, along with our justice system and the government, is avoiding answering THE question… WHY IS OBAMA FIGHTING SHOWING HIS LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE?? I was pointing out the even Yahoo is sensoring this issue.

you said:”so, we see here that berg’s (stupid jew) case was dismissed due to what?
    LACK OF SUBJECT MATTER.”

That’s a biased judge’s opinion, which I personally give no credibility to.

and you said: “you see kay, it is up to berg to prove that obama is not a citizen, not for obama to prove he is.
that is how courts work in America.

IT’S A SHAME THAT OBAMA HAS TO SPEND A DIME DEFENDING THESE RIDICULOUS FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS.”

No, the REAL shame is that Obama could put all of this to rest by unsealing his personal information starting with his actual long form birth certificate. It’s a shame that he can’t do so just to give Americans the reasurrance that their president is legal. That’s what is a shame!!

It’s a shame that even though NOW any presidental candidate MUST show their long form birth certificate to qualify, because Obama wasn’t covered under that new law, he still won’t show his. It’s a shame that he can’t abide by that rule even though he doesn’t have to. WHY???? No integrety showing here.

Still waiting for your’s and Dorian’s and anyone else’s explanation as to why Obama won’t do this… to make accusations (TBG) of hate is unfounded and ignorant especially if you cannot answer this one question.

What truth??? What evidence??? That’s the whole point… there is NO evidence that Obama is a legal citizen.

As I pointed out earlier, the certification of birth is not considered proof in a court of law… court room evidence that YOU are ignoring… here’s the link to the article that shows that…
    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=110300

“The judge, James Robertson, threatened the attorney, John D. Hemenway, 82, with sanctions. Hemenway responded by ripping the judge for using blog hearsay in his decision.

In his statement, Robertson ridiculed the complaint, which never had a court hearing, finding that the eligibility issue had been “blogged, texted, twittered and otherwise massaged.”

His dismissal ordered the attorney to respond immediately and explain why there should not be financial sanctions. Hemenway complied, pointing out that the assumption of Obama’s eligibility “assumes facts not in evidence.”

Hemenway also suggested that if there were to be sanctions, court rules would allow him to require the release of Obama’s birth information.

“If the court persists in pressing Rule 11 procedures against Hemenway, then Hemenway should be allowed all of the discovery pertinent to the procedures as court precedents have permitted in the past,” he wrote to the judge.

“The court has referred to a number of facts outside of the record of this particular case and, therefore, the undersigned is particularly entitled to a hearing to get the truth of those matters into the record. This may require the court to authorize some discovery,” Hemenway said.

Robertson immediately backed off, issuing only a reprimand to Hemenway, a reprimand which now is on appeal. ”

Hmmm …. wonder why he backed off???

From your comment P… the first paragraph of Terry Krepel’s article…

“Even though WorldNetDaily reported in August that the birth certificate released by Barack Obama’s campaign is “authentic” as determined by its own investigation, and that a lawsuit by Philip J. Berg, an attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter, claiming that Obama is a non-citizen of the U.S. and thus ineligible to run for president “relies on discredited claims,” WND has fully embraced assertions that the certificate is a forgery or otherwise insufficient proof that Obama is a U.S. citizen.

Gee.. I have to mention the first thing that got my attention here…. the complete UNBIASEDNESS of WND!

You keep claiming the biasness of WND and then post information like this… maybe there is a reconcilation problem in reporting on your part here P?

I find no problems of reconciliation reporting by WND here. First, the certification of live birth that is trying to be passed off as proof is an easily obtainable document… which explains why, as I’ve shown several times now, it is not good enough in a court of law.

“The “certification of live birth” posted online and widely touted as “Obama’s birth certificate” does not prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same “short-form” document is obtainable for children not born in Hawaii. The true “long-form” birth certificate – which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician – is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny.”

When WND determined it’s “authenticity” it was confirming that it was a government issued document. That’s not the same as confirming the information in the document as authentic.

As to Berg’s case and the claim that it “relies on discredited claims” that can also be true but not be conflicting their present stance… there was for example several Kenyan birth certificates that were proven false and one of those may have been used as evidence in Berg’s case, not knowing at the time (for sure) that it was a false document.

Neither of these claims discredits WND’s integrity. It is just showing how unbiased this site is trying to be. The Huffington post is just desparate for arguments and it shows.

  120. Rational responses, from the party that has been hijacked by the village idiot of our society, fundamentalist Christianity?

What I’ve seen the past thirty years since I’ve been old enough to vote is that the Republicans favor big business, say screw the poor, and have no respect for the environment except to see it as a possible source of income. Our children and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren will be cursing the environmental policies of the Reagan and Bush and Bush Jr. years.

It’s funny, the Republicans want government to keep out of business affairs but intrude into citizen’s private lives. The Democrats want government to intrude into business affairs but stay out of citizen’s private lives. The Libertarians say government should stay out of everything as much as possible. My own political beliefs, according to a very long online test I took last year, fall into the “moderate centrist” category.

It’s also funny that the Republicans tend to measure things according to their monetary value more than moral values. At least that’s my honest opinion of what I see. And I don’t agree with their so-called moral values. To me, the religious right is a bunch of dangerous kooks who have no business being anywhere near any position of authority or power.

And yes, Bill Keller spreads HATE, Kay, as do most right wing Taliban-style religious right extremist Christian fringe nutjobs. The difference is he is one of those making their living by doing so, which to me makes him even more despicable than those who do so out of ignorance but mean well.

I did read the entire article. Again, you missed the point. WND does try to be unbiased, the first paragraph that I quoted showed that. I’d be the first to say that they do not always accomplish that… it’s hard for anyone to avoid biasness completely. The point is that they obviously do try. They are overwhelmingly truthful on their site I have found. You have to remember, the more information a person or site puts out the greater the chance to post something incorectly. Bill is another example.. he puts out so much of his writings, of course you’re going to find mistakes etc. You find one or two mistakes or “lies” and you think it’s all over… you say you hate Bill because he’s a liar.. well, everyone here has lied, (and more, percentage wise, on a word for word basis I’m sure)… so you must hate us all too.

And that link does not take you back to Orly… that case had nothing to do with her. Just because she might be linked to something that doesn’t make the information invalid… sorry, it’s just not that easy. And that goes for WND also… they’ve proven unbiasness to me therefore I deem them reliable… I still don’t know what they’ve done wrong to justify deeming them unreliable. Same with Bill Keller.

  122. well, let me amend one thing about the Democrats and citizen’s private lives: gun control. On every other issue I can see they are a bunch of lying hypocritical greedy selfish bastards who would poison the planet with no shame as long as they can make a buck.

Oh wait, many of those greedy bastards are Christians who seriously believe we are in the end times, so why should they conserve resources or protect the planet since it’s all going to be destroyed and then saved very soon anyway. Oh but wait again, if they really believe Jesus is coming back so soon, why don’t they act more like Christians instead of greedy selfish bastards?

oh my gosh… Princess, I am and always was talking about the case handled by Judge James Robertson. Where He threatened an attorney (John D. Hemenway) with finacial sanctions for frivolousness.

This first link references that case farther down in the article. The second link is the original article about that specific case with Judge James Robertson. Again, this case does not involve Orly taitz. Geez. I really wasn’t trying to “pull a fast one”, I had come across the later (dated) article first and just found the original article about that particular case .

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=110300

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=93578

in the article it says…”His dismissal ordered the attorney to respond immediately and explain why there should not be financial sanctions. Hemenway complied, pointing out that the assumption of Obama’s eligibility “assumes facts not in evidence.”

Hemenway also suggested that if there were to be sanctions, court rules would allow him to require the release of Obama’s birth information.

Robertson immediately backed off, issuing only a reprimand to Hemenway, a reprimand which now is on appeal. ”

I will add, at this point, what Taitz said in her request for reconsideration of the dismisal that her judge declared in another case… I add it because it is clearly so pertinent to this whole subject…

“Plaintiff avers that there is increasing evidence that the United States District Courts in the 11th Circuit are subject to political pressure, external control, and, mostly likely, subservience to the same illegitimate chain of command which plaintiff has previously protested in this case, except that the de facto president is not even nominally the commander-in-chief of the Article III Judiciary,” the request said.

(Gee, ya think so? Thank goodness for WND… at least someone is revealing the corruption in our government and legal system.) I think I’m gonna buy a bumper sticker… support the cause.

The whole point of me referencing that article was to show that when the judge said, tell me why I shouldn’t fine you, the attorney said that if he did it would require proof of Obama’s citizenship, that his birth records would have to be unsealed. Meaning that the stupid “certification of live birth” was not good enough… why do I have to explain this to you guys…

as to Dorian’s comment and video #124… I’d take fat over shallow and stupid anyday.

That’s pretty sad Dorian… you are living up to my accusation pretty well. And I noticed how you added later “now i have to defend these big people.” So it wouldn’t look like you were uh.. prejudiced / biased/ intolerant of fat people… which, it’s looking like you are. P, it’s called capitalism. It’s a good thing. It’s also called paying the bills, generating income to further the cause and giving the people what they want. If you lived in a socialist country you’d have to settle for what ever bumper sticker the goverment gave you. That would be no fun at all would it?

WND is trying to PRESERVE your freedom to choose what ever bumper sticker you want. And they are utilizing the blessings that we have in this country; the freedom to make a buck AND further a cause that we believe in. What is so wrong with that? I have no problem with it at all.

hmmm, let me see, i’m sure jesus has an opinion, jesus has an opinion on “everything”

    Matthew 21:12
[ Jesus at the Temple ] Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.

    Mark 11:15
On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,

    John 2:15
So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

I see, jesus said that joseph farah should have his ass whipped.

i wonder how those satanic mormons are capitalizing on god?

P, you are making this too easy for me! Really Miss P, you should try reading the Bible first before you go quoting it… you convieniently left out what Jesus said…

13″It is written,” he said to them, ” ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,'[e] but you are making it a ‘den of robbers.

16To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father’s house into a market!”

It wasn’t selling that Jesus was angry about, it was about disprespecting God and His house. The WND site is not a church P. As usual you are not understanding the context of things.

Yes, I agree that it is dispicable how many of the televagelists are capitalizing on God’s name (again Fahar is not a pastor and WND is not a church). When they are putting their selfish desires before God. When they bring on those fake tears and ask for you to buy something at the same time…. it’s disgusting. And something you’ve never seen Bill do I might add.

And that’s another point.. Bill knows how to make money. He knows he could start selling things just like all of his counterparts do. But he doesn’t. And, yes, I know, before you go wasting you time… he has sold some things in the past. But it has been pretty obvious that he reluctantly did so in order to raise money to save his show or be able to go nation wide. He’s not about material things… and you know that… you saw his “crib”… you have no arguments there P. And he has a mortgage… he drives a clunker… come on… you are the one who has exhibited unbelievable amounts of biasness when it comes to Bill Keller… and you know that too.

you said: “also, you said bill keller has the right to “dethrone” obama.
i bet you didn’t feel the same way when CAIR dethroned bill keller did you?
    no, of course not. LOL”

No, I’m not a hypocrite… I would never say that Cair doesn’t have the right to express their views and try to remove Bill’s show (thru the legal, proper channels of course). That’s their right. And yes, they succeeded. Did I like that? of course not. Do I know that group for what it really is… yes I do, thanks to Bill. Will people know that that group has ties to terrorist groups? And that they actively defend Muslims who have been arrested for terrorist activities in this country? No, less people will know that now…. Do you (liberals) get that point?? Unfortunately no.

it did say, the day, if not the specific year. both of those are blasphemous lies.
prophets didn’t sell their prophecies in the bible. what the muslim by birth joseph farah is doing is no different than the moneychangers or dove sellers. they weren’t priests. and whether or not they are doing it inside or outside of church there is no difference. they are trying to fool everyone they are doing it in god’s name. and their “reporting” is just as biased as the products they sell on their website, there is no separating the two.

kay, i have a question, why do you think it’s ok to call yourself a christian and then lie?
you lie all of the time. in fact you are the most dishonest person on this blog.
you are not a christian kay, you are only fooling yourself. you really are a village idiot.

P, as to my comment that WND isn’t biased, it was not about their purpose / goal / aim… it’s no secret on the site what they are about… Again it was about the information that they post.

don’t you understand the “context” of the word “context”?

    Here, let me help you…

    con·text (kntkst)
    n.
    1. The part of a text or statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and determines its meaning.
    2. The circumstances in which an event occurs; a setting.

As for the DVD about the day and hour of Jesus’ return… neither of us knows what the actual content of the DVD is… you may be right, the author may be wrong for trying to reveal the day (if not the year) of His return. I don’t really know if it’s blasphemous. And you may also be right that Farah may be crossing some lines with his WND store. But only God knows what is in his heart… what is motivating him in what he is doing.

Your misguided point is that if he is crossing the line then that invalidates his entire site and all information on it…. I don’t think so…if only it were that simple and easy. Just like when you catch Bill in a lie.. “ohhhh.. he’s a liar… he’s a fake.. “he’s a disciple of satan!”… No, it just means that he’s human. Your view is extremely narrow minded and childish.

as per your accusations … you’re such a sorry, sore loser. And such an angry Princess, you need to find that pea under your mattress and get rid of it. and take that lemon out of your mouth… 😦 ya BIG BABY…. WAHHHHHH! Just get it over with and confess that you are in love with Bill Keller.

so it looks like the majority of people are accepting of other faiths.
that’s not scary, that’s good! it just validates what non close-minded (aka liberal-minded) people believe. that everybody has a right to their own beliefs, even if it’s out of the ordinary. that’s tolerance.

Dorian, you said… ” that everybody has a right to their own beliefs, even if it’s out of the ordinary. that’s tolerance.”

ugh… there you go again…see, we are back to square one… again, you’re point is that if someone disagrees with another’s beliefs, they are intolerant… right? let’s call it what it is…. “so let’s call a spade a spade”. You are saying that it is wrong to disagree with another’s beliefs.

And I’m trying.. so hard.. to explain that we can disagree with another’s beliefs and STILL be tolerant of their right to their own beliefs. By your (the liberal’s) way of thinking, man kind isn’t capable of disagreeing in a peaceful way. It’s the liberal “short cut” to world piece, to promote a lie (a non truth) to bring the world together… see, there’s word again “truth”… that conflicts with liberalism. Just like abortion is a shortcut to alleviating the problem. Anyone see a pattern here? Falsehoods and killing… I’m going to start a list.

If, for example, if a Christian believes that all faiths are valid, they cannot be a true Christian! If they do not believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation… they are not a Christian… that is the definition of a Christian. So what liberals are INSISTING is that Christianity ISN’T VALID when they insist that all religions should be considered valid.

Can’t you see the dilema here? It’s not possible to believe in everything… beliefs conflict each other. Again, it’s a make-believe fantasy that you (liberals) are promoting. It’s NOT possible!

  163. Kay, open your mind for a minute that perhaps all faiths are valid, that Jesus does teach us the same message as Buddha for example. I read the Bible and I get that message, clearly.

Eckhart Tolle and others have realized and shared with others that there is and only ever has been ONE spiritual teaching that is the basis of ALL religions, that there is a higher consciousness or awareness or state of mind that manifests the universe, and that awareness is within each of us, and there are helpful hints offered to try to experience that state of mind of union with the divine.

Each religion becomes concretized over time and loaded with cultural baggage that dilutes and pollutes the core message, but the message is still there in ALL beliefs. Even fundamentalist Christians claim they take some parts of the Bible symbolically and not literally. This is just a step beyond what they normally accept, but is the same idea.

You can insist on calling the God within “Jesus”, but that doesn’t work for everyone. There are billions of people who disagree, and your opinion that they are going to hell if they don’t believe things exactly the way you do is wrong, IN MY OPINION!

    Like

  164. What I’m trying to say in a nutshell is that different beliefs do NOT conflict with each other when one realizes and understands and KNOWS that the core message at the heart of these beliefs is the SAME! It is people arguing over their interpretations of the stories used to communicate this message that causes the problems. The conflict only exists with limited understanding. In the bigger picture, when one sees what’s going on, the apparent contradictions disappear.

    Like

  165. Well, Kay,
Maybe Satan has clouded my mind to give me the viewpoint I have. Maybe by sharing that viewpoint I am doing the devil’s work and anyone who hears my opinion and agrees with it will burn in hell forever as a result.

If so, I apologize! I can only say that the viewpoint I have comes from a lifetime of prayer and decades of study and contemplation on religions, comparative mythology, psychology, languages, history, and science. If Satan HAS clouded my mind on this issue, when I have only sought truth all these years and prayed to God for guidance every day, then perhaps GOD is the one who allowed this to happen as part of His plan. For what it’s worth, I honestly believe what I say. I’m pretty sure you do too, based on the passion of your responses.

IT COST $30,000. TO PRODUCE KELLER’S CRAPPY AMATUERISH COMMERCIAL? WHAT A SCAM

fortunately, this tv station saw it for what it really is, political not religious as keller tried to maintain and refused to air it. good for her.
    http://www.gosanangelo.com/news/2009/oct/07/birthers-seek-station-to-broadcast-informercial/

‘Birthers’ seeking station to broadcast infomercial

    Trish Choate Standard-Times Washington Bureau
    Posted October 7, 2009 at 1:56 p.m. , updated October 7, 2009 at 9:07 p.m.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — West Texans might catch the so-called “birther-mercial” this month on a local television channel.

At least one Abilene woman has already seen the controversial infomercial produced by LivePrayer.com, an evangelical Christian TV show and Internet site. The nearly half-hour “Where Was Obama Born?” has aired in seven states, including Texas.

Sari David, national-regional sales manager for CBS affiliate KTAB and NBC affiliate KRBC in Abilene, watched the segment after receiving it to air as religious programming.

“It’s a call to action, and so I wanted the political documentation to go along with it,” David said. “They declined to send it, so we’re not airing their spot.”

San Angelo’s CBS and NBC affiliates could not be reached late Wednesday.

If the segment finds a home on local airwaves, viewers will see a splash of bright red fill the screen and retreat to reveal itself as Africa.

Yellow question marks will fleck the African continent where a die-hard and vocal minority believe Barack Obama was born, which would make him constitutionally ineligible to be president.

Next, the shape of the continental United States, with Hawaii trailing along, will take over the screen. Obama’s Hawaiian certification of live birth and suspenseful music also star in the introduction.

Viewers who call an 800 number can have their names added to a petition to GOP leaders and score a free “Got a birth certificate?” bumper sticker.

For a “gift” of $30, the infomercial promises to send faxes to all 50 state attorneys general and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

Conservative attorney Gary Kreep’s United States Justice Foundation produced the infomercial. The program features Kreep, executive director of the Ramona, Calif.-based organization, as guest of host Bill Keller.

The Florida evangelist was host for “this special look at where was Barack Hussein Obama was really born.”

It’s all to demand Obama to produce a long-form Hawaiian birth certificate that will satisfy conspiracy theorists and, perhaps, Kreep.

He’s involved in litigation to force Obama to do just that.

“I don’t think we’ve raised enough to even pay for the ads so far, but if there’s any money left over, it’ll help with the litigation,” Kreep said in an interview.

He’s been pleased with the response but didn’t have a geographical breakdown of it, he said.

Kreep said he estimated the infomercial has resulted in 2,000 to 3,000 faxes and 1,000 to 2,000 requests for bumper stickers.

The petition asks Republican leaders “to stand up and start asking some questions instead of just wimping out … and not really caring about whether we have a constitutional crisis on our hands or not,” Kreep said.

LivePrayer.com produced the infomercial for a fee of less than $30,000, said Keller, president of Bill Keller Ministries, which owns Tampa, Fla.-based LivePrayer.com.

“The money that’s being raised, we don’t get a dime of it,” Keller said in an interview. “That goes to Kreep’s organization.”

In 1989, Keller engaged in insider trading, according to LivePrayer.com. He served two and a half years in federal prison where he “rededicated his life to the Lord.”

LivePrayer.com acts as production house for projects such as “Where Was Obama Born?” to generate income, Keller said.

“And to be blunt with you, we felt the actual question that was asked is a legitimate question,” he said.

West Texas Congressman Randy Neugebauer is among co-sponsors of a House bill requiring future presidential candidates to produce birth certificates to prove they meet constitutional requirements to be president.

The Constitution specifies the president must be a natural born U.S. citizen.

After controversy arose over Obama’s birthplace, his Hawaiian birth certificate was posted on the Internet. The White House considers the matter settled.

Neugebauer has said he doesn’t have documentation one way or the other about Obama’s citizenship, but he assumes the president meets constitutional requirements.

He added that the bill wasn’t politically motivated.

Kreep said that the infomercial aired in recommended markets in Texas, Louisiana and Missouri in September but that he didn’t have information on which other four states it was shown in.

The second round of broadcasts will begin within a week or so, Kreep said.

    He declined to give details.

“We’ve been informed that pressure’s brought to bear to get stations not to run it, and so we don’t want them to have any more hassle than they have to go through from running it already,” Kreep said.

A check with Abilene stations, including Fox affiliate KXVA, ABC affiliate KTXS, KTXE, Telemundo affiliate KTES-TV and Abilene’s CW turned up no plans to air the infomercial.

“We are not running it and have not been asked to or about it at all,” said Kyle Krebs, vice president and general manager for Bonten Media’s four Abilene stations.

A search of YouTube.com turns up clips from the infomercial and links to the complete program at LivePrayer.com.

David said she received an order to run a “religious program” about a month ago.

She told the person handling the infomercial’s sales that she’d have to look at it first, David said.

“It’s not uncommon for issue advertisers to make themselves appear to be a little more neutral than they actually are,” she said. “Sometimes when you view them, you’d be surprised what they end up being.”

After watching it, she sent company political-disclosure policies and a political issue form to be filled out, David said. She never heard back.

“I think the way they sent it over, there’s a good chance some people didn’t look at it,” David said, adding later, “I wouldn’t recommend anybody airing it without political paperwork to back it up, but that’s just me.”

The infomercial doesn’t appear to trigger the need for a station to file documentation with the Federal Election Commission because of its timing, Dennis Wharton, NAB spokesman, said. The Federal Communications Commission often has rules about political advertising as well, issues that are sometimes quite complex.

“Ultimately, it’s left up to the local broadcast station to determine what programming is appropriate for that city of license,” Wharton said.

There is the proof, sorry but this is not a website that backs any political party in particular. I have seen them bust propaganda of both the right and the left.

Verily I say unto you Kay, pay attention to the bible. Love and respect your neighbor, as Jesus commanded. Until you do you are just an overly opinonated person that goes to church. It doesn’t make you a Christian. And just because Bill looks like a pastor and says Jesus in every other sentence does not make him a real bona fide christian pastor. Since he does not teach the things Jesus taught. He doesn’t teach about tolerance, and loving and respecting everyone else as yourself. Those are commandments of God. Something Fundamentalist Christians ignore. Even Jesus taught it is impossible for everyone to believe in his message.

  186. I do agree with all of the ideas you have introduced to your post.
They are really convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are too short
for starters. May you please prolong them a bit from subsequent
time? Thank you for the post.
